Who We Are

The mission of the Connecticut Herb Association (CHA) is to share and promote the excitement of ancient and contemporary herbalism to our Connecticut community. Our dedication to this mission is nourished by the value and pure joy it offers to individuals, families, communities, and to the world.

We feed this mission by offering events that serve to educate and excite interest in the world of herbalism. We share these activities with our members and with our community throughout the state. In these ways, we nurture a regional network of herb-related resources for our membership as well as for anyone who has an interest in herbs!
Our CHA membership is diverse and dynamic. It is rich with practitioners, students, growers, teachers and shopkeepers, from novice to expert. All of our members weave a delightful community tapestry that creates valuable relationships among our membership and the general public.
Members blend their energies and expertise to promote and nurture our nonprofit organization to educate, inform and inspire individuals and other groups in the realm of herbs and holistic approaches to health and wellness.
CHA also serves as a forum for exchange and discussion of matters of importance in the herbal community such as therapies, research, education, workshops, growing, retailing, wild-crafting, as well as environmental, legal and legislative concerns that impact herbalism.
CHA hosts events and gatherings around the state throughout the year. These include presentations by members and guest speakers, or visits to a shop, garden, farm or wild place where we can learn and share together the wisdom of all things green. As a member of CHA you have the opportunity to host an event or gathering in your region of the state.

CHA Needs You
